omfg, my phone broke.

I put it safely on charge the night before, woke up and in the morning it had a big crack in the screen and nolonger displays anything. (it was an LG viewty :( mint condition, no scratches.) it wasn't on the ground, so i suspect some jealous person did it in the middle of the night, or something.

BUT! better news, This made me laugh the actual crap out my ass:

so, today im feeling a little down.

Woke up this morning to find that somehow during the night (???) my phone screen has cracked.
absolutely awful because i've spent the last 2 months carefully taking care of it - not a
single scratch whatsoever.

Last night its fine, then this morning, DUNK. Big fat split in the screen and an obvious
impact mark.

I bet someone in the house knocked it off the side board, where it was charging, stood on it, or dropped something on it from the initial catching of the charger cable, and then put it back neatly without saying anything / or possibly not noticing.


Then I come into work and am told you need to do X, Y, Z, A, B, C. and also, you know that thing that you were prettymuch asked to do? you don't need to do that so you wasted your time.

Fuck sake, frank blatantly said 'There is existing functionality there in the admin section, just use that to create another configuration table.' and I questioned it. Several times.

I should have known better, its not even his project.


MSDN roadshow tomorrow, have to be up fucking early and into work way earlier than normal.
shit sucks atm.



Also, kate is biting my head off at every opportunity.

well, good news - i've found one (of many) session musicians for the
new album. She's a vocalist, some good skills, projects her voice well.
she'll be doing work on some of the more melodic tracks, but they're
definately all going to be psychdelic.

Will have to get (more) creative and write some lyrics with melody for
her to work with.

So, this morning I coded an easter-egg into CSP 2.0 (Cooper software projects)
On xmas day it will change the browser title to 'Ho Ho Ho! Merry Xmas from the Fat dude"
On april fool's day it will change the title to 'ERROR. FATAL SYSTEM CRASH, PLEASE DELETE WINDOWS."
On new years' day it will say "Happy new year, From all at Cooper Software."
On Easter 2008 it will say "Happy Easter! from the CS Team."

The module is tiny, hidden and the text strings are encrypted. Its just called CheckDate()
which seems harmless enough ;).

'DARKSIDE' REMIX COMPETITION


Poposm records was started by Thomas Coles; a producer based in Edinburgh involved with
the free party and techno scene, aswell as breaks clubs and other club nights.

His new project, Fresh Fruit, are a dark, technical and psychedelic d'n'b act, featuring rhymes.

Darkside, as a promotional instrument for poposm records and fresh fruit, is an uptempo dark
drum 'n' bass track fueled by insane rises, powerful breaks, fucked up sex noises and generally
frantic and dark beats.

The winner of the remix competition goes up on the website for all to see. All tracks will be
featured (within reason) and can be downloaded.

Free to enter, no jackpot other than the exposure and perhaps... read on...

When Darkside is released, Poposm records will start negotiations with the winner as to whether
or not it should be included as a B-side on the official release.

The closing date was extended to friday 9th of may due to increased interest.

w00t, another crackin' set and a brilliant night:

The UFO Live on Desert Storm / Pedigree Skum Soundsystem, 10Kw system.

Some angry farmer came in the morning but he was the only dickhead there;
the police even remembered us from last year and were quite happy to have us.
(They infact suggested this place.)

I feel amazing now, cleansed even. Sat in the garden for a while on the laptop;
just chilling. Its been an amazing month or so for me, passed driving test, got
a new (amazing) job and a temp job, george is picking up words and walking,
done sets and got more involved with music, started my record label. Remix
competition went out. 15 - 20 people interested and competing. Played big
party @ blackford, 300 folk. Played near Peebles, again lots of folk. Gonna be
booked for club mutiny, touchwood. Kept down the gym, have started to put on
muscle. Got a new phone, a viewty. jailbroke my ipod touch; awesome.

ahh... all thanks to leaving that godforsaken place, Heriot-watt. So boring.
So sterile. Such a waste of valuable time!
